Buying & Selling

Accurate valuations create a fair and transparent foundation for both buyers and sellers. For sellers, they ensure assets are priced correctly to maximise returns; for buyers, they provide confidence that they’re paying true market value.

What does it cost to sell?

It is completely free to sell through auction with us. As we pride ourselves on client satisfaction, it will always be free to sell with us!

It is very simple, with two options (we do 90% of the work with both options).

Option 1 – You can send us pictures and details of your item/s.

Option 2 – Our sales team comes out to your site and takes pictures and collects the details

We usually say anything between between 4 – 24 hours, anything more and we will contact you

Our collections team will be in touch to arrange collection, this will consist of two unique codes that will match when the buyer comes to collect

Funds from the proceeds of the Auction are then transferred in to your business account via Bank Transfer, from our Clients Account around 24 – 48 business hours.

Thinking Of Restructuring

Accurate valuations provide a clear, objective view of your assets during a restructuring, helping identify where value can be preserved, realised, or redeployed. This supports better decision-making, strengthens negotiations with lenders.

How do I create an account?

The create account will ask you for all relevant details that we need before allowing you the privelages to bid at any Auction, Tender, or Private Treaty Sale.

Once you have completed this section you will be asked to tick the box at the bottom of the online form, if you are in agreement with the terms & Conditions. In order to have bidding privileges you must have clearly Read, understand and tick the box as acknowledging that you accept the Terms and conditions, then press create an account.

You must then wait until the vetting process of your account as be verified and accepted, this normally comes by email.

Once you receive the email, you will be able to make bids in an Auction, Tender, or Private Treaty Sale.

Once you account is registered and activated you can browse all our online auctions. In order to bid on an item in a auction you must register for that auction – this is quick and easy to do by clicking the “register” button on that auction.

The auction registration is instant and you can then bid on any lot in that auction.

Once you have entered your bid you should see a green box confirming you are the leading bidder – if you see a red box this means that you have been outbid or the lot reserve price has not been met.

Our online auctions allow you to place bids in “increments” – this increment value varies depending on the individual lot.

You can only place bids using these increment values – for example if the increment on a specific lot is £5 then you can only place bids in £5 increments (so £20, £25, £30 etc)

The increment value is displayed below the current bid price on each lot.

Auto bidding allows you to enter the maximum price you are willing to pay for an item.

Our auction software will bid for you automatically up to the maximum value you enter.

This is a great way of getting the item you want at a great price without having to constantly watch the auction bidding.

On some items you have the option to pre-purchase prior to the closing date. These items have a Make Offer button.

Should your offer be rejected you may have further attempts to pre-purchase the item if the auctioneer allows. Once your final offer is rejected you will be unable to submit any further offers for that item. However you will still be able to place incremental or Autobids on the item.

Note that you have a limited number of offer allowances. If you make an offer and it is the same or lower than your bid, you will receive an error message but it will still remove one of your offer allowances.

In some auctions, including The Marketplace, sellers have the option to list their item for sale at a set price. The listed price is displayed on the button, i.e. ‘Buy Now £1,000’. To buy the item simply click the button once you are logged in and approved.

After you have confirmed your purchase the item will be marked as sold on the site and you will be sent an email detailing the transaction.

Note that for multi-item listings, Make Offer is available but Buy Now is not. Multi-items will also display whether the bid is per item or per lot:

An invoice will be generated and presented to the successful bidder. Once this invoice has been paid in full (including any fees) a “paid” invoice will be sent to you.

This second paid invoice will also have a unique code, this code will be needed for collection purposes.
